Welcome!

This is the homepage for Ultimate at the University of New Mexico. Below you can find information about what ultimate is, where and when we play, and what we want to do. We have more information about each club in their respective section.

We hope you'll come and have fun with us! :D

Ultimate is a sport! In a nutshell; your team throws a frisbee down the field, completing passes until you either turn it over (let the disc hit the ground) or reach the endzone for a score. You can't run with the disc (you're given a pivot foot, similar to basktball), and you can only hold onto the disc for ten seconds. All while the opposing team is trying to stop you from scoring. Ultimate is a non-contact sport, so you can't hit others to stop them from throwing or catching the disc. Click here for more.
We play Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on the west side of Johnson Field. Players usually come between 5:30 and 5:45 to warm up, socialize, and get some throws in before practice. If it's your first time we recommend coming at 5:30 so we can get to know you!
Ultimately (get it?) our objective is to play ultimate in a competitive and fun environment. We love playing ultimate and want to share that with others. Everyone joins in for different reasons; for some, they want to place to let their competitive side out and get a work out in. Others want to make friends and find a social group. Some have played before and are looking for their next team. Regardless, we all work towards becoming better players and showing the fruits of our labors in tournaments across the south west. No matter you're reason, if any of this has piqued your interest you should come out and play with us!

If you have any questions or would like to be added to our email list, please email us! It may sound crazy, but emailing us really is a good way to get in touch. You can also DM our social media accounts if you prefer that way!
